The school curriculum guide shows teachers how to create a ‘babies in diapers,’ where children’s parents pick up and carry the babies and then place them in a diaper.
It’s part of a new ABC Childrens’ programming series called ‘Kids in Dads’ that has been filmed at schools in Melbourne, Adelaide, Geelong and Hobart.
The curriculum includes lessons about the role of mothers, about the importance of bonding with a child, and how to teach the basics of how to feed and care for babies and toddlers.
The show is being filmed at three Melbourne schools this year.
The ABC has also filmed a similar show in Perth this year to highlight the role parents play in child care.
Parents will be able to watch the videos online and download them as an MP3 for their own use.
The program has been designed by the National Partnership for Educational Quality, a Melbourne-based education research group.
The goal is to encourage teachers to create safe and nurturing environments for their children, and to show them how to provide the best care possible for them.
The guide includes links to the videos on the ABC Kids website, as well as other videos and resources.
